About Rebecca (Jude) (Joslin) Kerley

Origins

8/14/2021 edit. The wife of Thomas Josselyn was Rebecca Jude. Her maiden name WAS NOT Marlowe. That is a common error due to a mistake in early genealogy and in Torrey's New England Marriages as [Marlowe?]. Roger Joslyn wrote an article in 2004 revealing the proof from finding a deed prior to their c. 1613 marriage.

Read the article. It is attached in the Source Tab. Rebecca, wife of Thoms Josselyn of Hingham and Lancaster, Massachusetts by Roger D. Joslyn, NEHGR Vol 158, Pgs 330-340 (pub 2004)

After Thomas Josselyn (he wrote his name Joslin) died 3 Jan 1661, she then married William Kerley 16 May 1664.

Also, her parents are UNKNOWN as of 8/14/2021, but the father would assume to have the last name Jude. Her actual relationship to John Jude cited in 9 Sep 1613 deed prior to their marriage (from the article above) has not been confirmed, and could have been a father, older brother, uncle, or grandfather. The name William Jude was also listed as a possible father in the article, who was a son of a John Jude.

The following comments where not edited 8/14/2021, as it shows typical listings of this person.
