Edmund Titus was born in Stansted Abbots, Hertfordshire, England, about 1630, and died probably in Westbury, Long Island, New York, on April 7, 1715. Martha Washborne was born in _____ about 1643, and died in _____ on April 17, 1727. Quaker records say she was about 84 year old when she died. They were married in Long Island, New York, about 1657. She took the name Martha Titus. He is the son of Robert and Hannah (_____) Titus. She is the daughter of William and Jane (_____) Washburn(e). They had 11 children:

i. Samuel Titus was born in Westbury, Long Island, America, in August, 1658. His first marriage was to Elizabeth Powell, daughter of Thomas Powell, on November 6, 1691, at her parent's residence in Bethpage, Long Island. She died on April 9, 1704/5. His second marriage was to Elizabeth Priar (nee Bowne), daughter of John and Hannah (Feake) Bowne of Flushing. She died on February 14, 1721/2.

ii. Phebe Titus was born in Westbury, Long Island, New York, in March, 1660, and died on March 10, 1742/3. Her first marriage was to Samuel Scudder; her second marriage was to Robert Field, son of Robert and Susannah Field of Newtown, at her parents' home in Westbury on April 13, 1701.

iii. Martha Titus was born in Westbury in March, 1663. She married Benjamin Willis.

iv. Mary Titus was born in Westbury in 1665, and died in 1747. She married Benjamin Seaman. Her name appears in Long Island Genealogies but not in

v. Hannah Titus was born in Westbury in November, 1667. She married Benjamin Smith.

vi. Jane Titus was born in Westbury in April, 1670. She married James Denton.

vii. John Titus [#296]: He was born in _____ on April 29, 1672, and died in _____ on March 4, 1749/50.

viii. Peter Titus was born in Westbury in August, 1674. He married Martha Jackson.

ix. Silas Titus was born in Westbury in 1676. On December 8, 1704, he married Sarah Haight, daughter of Samuel and Sarah Haight of Flushing.

x. Patience Titus was born in Westbury on February 4, 1678/9. She married Nicholas Haight, son of Samuel and Sarah Haight of Flushing, at Westbury on May 5, 1704.

xi. Temperence Titus was born in Westbury in March, 1681, and died on January 15, 1704.
