Mable Red Hair (aka Mable White Light), was a Sioux woman from the Lower Yanktonai (Hunkpatina) Tribe, Dakota Sioux

One of the 7 primary divisions or subtribes of the Dakota.
Hunkpatina Indians (Hunkpatina – campers at the end of the circle ). One of the two primary divisions of the Yanktonai Sioux, commonly known as Lower Yanktonai, from their former range on lower James River of eastern South Dakota. The Lower Yanktonai are considered a part of the Dakota people, specifically the Western Dakota. While they share a close cultural and linguistic connection with the Nakota (including the Yankton), the Lower Yanktonai, along with the Upper Yanktonai and the Yankton, identify as Dakota. The Nakota, also known as the Yanktonai, are a distinct group within the larger Sioux nations, but the Lower Yanktonai are part of the Dakota, not the Nakota.

Biography:
'Mable' Red Woman (Red Hair) was born c. 1872 to unknown parents probably on the Crow Creek Reservation in South Dakota.

According to the book Vanished in Hiawatha, Author Carla JOinson suggests only that she was diagnosed with Nymphomania. She was therefore discharged before June 28,1910 as she is NOT in the 1910 Canton female census. I've found NO records of her being admitted, but in censuses before 1903 she is identified as having had multiple partners and multiple children, many unnamed, but she is listed as being on the Crow Creek Reservation in census reports from 1903 to 1910. However, Indian Agents frequently identified those committed to the Canton Asylum on Reservation census reports because Indians were considered wards of the federal government and under the jurisdiction of a particular agency.

She passed away on September 17, 1934 in South Dakota.

-The Lower Yanktonai, a band of the Yanktonai Nakota, are primarily located on the Crow Creek Reservation in South Dakota and the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana. They are part of the broader Yanktonai group, which also includes the Upper Yanktonai, who reside on the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota and the Devil's Lake Reservation in North Dakota. A search of the Standing Rock Reservation identifies a woman named Red Hair whose Indian names is spelled exactly the same of the Red Woman (Red Hair) of this profile (See: https://archive.org/details/indiancensusroll547unit/page/n73/mode/1..., line 696, suggesting that the family could have been located other than on the Crow Creek Reservation early on.
