Disambiguation
Some researchers have confused Elizabeth with a different Elizabeth Crossman, who married John White in 1709. That Elizabeth was the daughter of Samuel Crossman, as evidence by his will dated 15 April 1748, which names his daughter "Elizabeth White".

Thus, the alternate records saying 1684 suggest 1684/85 is the right answer.]

- NYGBR, Vol. 22, p. 79, says Elizabeth m. 28 Dec 1709 John White Jr. But the will of her father identifies his son-in-law as Francis Luscombe and names four Luscombe children including Mary Luscombe who m. 1729-30 Nathaniel Willmarth and d. before the will was written in 1736. So the marriage to Francis probably occurred by 1720 at the latest (no record of the marriage or births of children found). Could Elizabeth have married (1) John White Jr. and then m. (2) Francis Luscombe? Or could the Elizabeth Crossman who m. (1709) John White Jr. be the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Crossman b. 1691? Hint: Samuel Crossman of Raynham in his will dated 1748 [Bristol Probate 7135] names daughter Elizabeth White, as well as other children born to Samuel Crossman of Taunton.
