1. John2 Hall, born about 1649; was Representative from Dover in 1694–1697, being drowned (while a member) 28 April 1697.
He married, 8 November 1671, Abigail, daughter of John and Abigail (Nutter) Roberts. (See “Roberts” note under Joanna" (333) Wentworth, who married Capt. Joshua Roberts, grandson of Abigail's brother Hatevil Roberts.) She married, 2d, 24 October 1698, Thomas Downs, of Cochecho, who was killed by the Indians in 1711. See “Downs” note to Samuelo (58) Wentworth.)
John2 Hall had:
- 1. John3 Hall, born 27 June 1673, apparently the “John, jr.” who lived at Oyster River, who had wife Elizabeth, and daughter Sarah" Hall, born 25 July 1696.
- 2. Thomas3 Hall, born 19 June 1675, was of Durham, N. H., owned mills and left children.
- 3. Abigail3 Hall, born 24 February 1679.
- 4. Joseph3 Hall, owned, with brother Thomaso Hall, mills at Cochecho second falls; married, 3 November 1707, Esther Beard, and had: Abigail4 Hall, born 5 July 1708.
- 5. Mary3 Hall, probably the Mary, then wife of — Meader, who quitclaimed all right in father John Hall's estate to his sons Thomas Hall and Joseph Hall, 1 January 1727.
- 6. Sarah3 Hall, probably the Sarah Hall who, then wife of Richard Goodwin, quitclaimed, 11 May 1730, all right in her father John Hall's estate.
