did a DNA test in late 2017 and it came up on my Ancestry account as a match as a half-sibling which was a complete surprise to myself and my father, Richard C. Jones in January 2018. Sometime between her test being finalized and two weeks before my father’s passing on January 20, 2018, she stopped talking to him and she told me she divorced me as a sister. Going back over history, I believe either Robert (Bob) Laird or his twin brother James (Jim) is Rene’s father. Both are also distant cousins of our mother, Helen Lillian Grohens Jones. Bob was my Dad’s best friend growing up in Battle Creek and continued thru his passing. My sister was born in Holt Mi. My father worked and stayed in Detroit Monday-Friday at his sister, Joanne’s House. He would come home on weekends. I remember Mom would lock us out of the house when she supposedly was cleaning the house, and told us we could not come in until she unlocked the doors. This is the truth. Bob and Marge Laird always got together with Mom and Dad throughout the years. They grew up together in Battle Creek, Mi. Battle Creek was not far from Holt, MI.
The only way I can prove it is DNA from Bob’s son, Randall or daughter, Gwen.
