MY great grandfather married to a tamil iyer long back , and my family name is Mangu the time you mentioned for Mangu is almost the same . PLease let me know how mangu family name come to her. Please elobarate.

Mangu was the nickname of my aunt and it is the shortform of Alameumangai. It not a family title.
