Roger Bell, sr. Names in this file is incorrect as being the father of Mary Bell Smith. This Roger Bell born abt. 1774 is to old to be Mary Bell's father. This Roger Bell is in the 1850 census for Walton, Georgia. He left Va. For Georgia with brother William B. Bell. In the 1850 census at age 74 he was living with Susan Carlton age 33, Mary Carlton age 18, John Carlton age 16, Susan Carlton age 14, Nancy Carlton age 12, Frederick Barrett age 29, and Elizabeth Barrett age 30.
Susan Carlton is executor to Roger Bell's will.
I have more proof that this is Roger Bell who is son of Thmas Bell.
Mary Bell Smith is proved by a will for Edward Smith that she is the daughter of Roger Bell. His will is dated 1755 and proved 1756. You can see the discrepancy in the dates that Mary Bell Smith could not be the daughter of Roger Bell son of Thomas Bell.
