This is most likely the Lewis & Clark family - I'm a descendant of this family through the Field lineage.

Names in this Lineage were, of course, repeated many times in marriages - Clark _ Field_ Powers_ Hill_ Lewis _

Each generation stayed within marriages of allied families. The families knew one another or the father fought in the Revolution or was in the House of Burgesses with other men... etc.

Makes it easy to track down information, when we look at our Family Bibles, genealogy books, then go to the Probate Records, etc.

These families were very protective of their daughter's, arranged their marriages with allied families--

A daughter to marry an Indian would not be allowed__ All these families had slaves with the same names, be cautious, I have confused documentation in the past.

This is linking to the Feild Family lineage that is directly kin to the Lewis & Clark family + Proven in FTDNA studies with my yDNA cousins years back.

The problem we have on GENI is I came upon a mess, no one has really worked the Field Family and much of the Clark- Powell lineage is not documented. These families are well-documented families, I have 2 genealogy huge books with all the land deeds, wills, marriage records, 1 smaller genealogy book with the same. A cousin that spent over 45 yrs research and using yDNA studies, massive computer files with all this information documented, but I just so many hours in a day.

What documentation do you have on this profile, you please upload these files? It's crucial for everyone that comes up to this Profile to be able to understand the story behind the History.

We continue to add, merge and need documentation

2nd cousin _r ???

I know this family- quite well _ it's my direct lineage _ if this is correct?

She had to be kidnapped by an Indian Tribe - if this happened - and this fact will be in Print if it happened - with our Field/ Clark Genealogy - this is too close of a relative __

The fact I do know is her father didn't marry her to an Indian Servant __ what documentation I could find on the man listed as her husband.

It’s not correct. There’s no maiden name given for Sarah, the wife of John “Figro” Oxendine

Their children were recorded as born (mostly) in Northumberland County, Virginia, in the 1730s.

Ref: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/148055258 Which cites additional sources.

I’ve disconnected her from parents. I could not find evidence (easily) that Micajah Christopher "Michael" Clark & Sarah Clark had a daughter Sarah, but if they did, we can add her.

Sorry about the trouble !

Well, my cousin Lucie Field disproved our link to Lewis & Clark ha ha ''' I believe her without even checking her data--- she's my go-to person in the family--

I've got to write to her, l her thanks! I don't think she sleeps, I've never seen so much data and documentation on the Field's- she's our ran my engineer cousin, who passed away a few years ago- he missed that detail-

The Feild's - Hills - Clarks lineage had slaves - named the same exact names some born the same years-

How do I know this? I downloaded a few Census Reports- went back over them --- stated Black -- then saw I had another Census report same yr same area --- White

The men and women were the same names -- Black could also mean American Indian

We have most of our exact birth dates from Family Bibles- Vestry Records - this helps-- The birth years on a few of the Census Reports were a bit off -- a few of the children names different -
