I checked out Geni and find that you’re managing a large number of my family’s connections.
I’m the grand-daughter of Dr Sigismund Altmann and Margarethe Ritter von Hahn. My dad was Andreas (Andi) Altmann. Genie says we’re distantly related, but I find Genie’s logic hard to follow. I’ve also been in contact with Itai Hermelin who has been extremely helpful as I’m going to Vienna in late September to follow some of this up.

Can you kindly merge and correct the profile for Martin Schonfrucht, my mother's cousin. I tried to contact David Sacker, who manages the incorrect profile already in 2009, but received no response, and the again today. Martin is the son of Jack Schonfrucht and Thelma Cripps, as I wrote to David Sacker.

Ditto for my cousin Jennifer Solange Pogrund. I wrote to Idan Kahlberg, who entered wrong details for her parents a couple of days ago, but so far no reply. Jenny is the daughter of my aunt Astrid and Benjamin Pogrund.

I was checking my mother's profile on the "Fine" side and saw your name.

Oh well, we are related through the Dansky/ Danofsky side of the family.

We are pretty much all set, all merged(which I hate to do)through our relatives in Texas.

As you can see, my husband and I are interchangeable on Geni.com.

I continue to meet all sides of our 2 families through Geni.

I am homebound and have been fighting dementia. I have been winning!!!

If it wasn't for Geni and all this uploading and data-processing, I do not what I would have done.

Thanks for your efforts in clearing up many of the unfinished merges in my tree over the past few days. It has never been clear to me exactly why some merges can be completed by curators, some by myself, and some by nobody. But I am also pleased that when you merge, you have also been able to clean up the conflicting data. At least, I have not found any mess that I had to clean up afterwards. Thanks again!

You're welcome. I deciphered a mysterious script uploaded by people to nearly 10,000 profiles and I think I've merged them all and need now to resolve duplicates to it displays their names in English as opposed to this script. Each character corresponds to a Hebrew letter but it does not render as a Hebrew letter.

Thanks. A litlte more curious on Wolfson as they were connected in Key West (that family) as was Wolkosky. In the days when the original Jews came to Key West (russian not the ones from Jassy Romania) and have small pamphlets that show that most went up north in the summer to relatives in Vineland NJ and came back with Jewish wives...

Yeah, Abrams is not easy. His mother was a Morris. Try that one :( His wife may hae been a Marks... also not easy.

At this point I'd be thrilled if one of them had some odd name.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for encouraging me to merge away! Hopefully I relieve peoples' frustrations with stubborn profile owners who abandon the tree and insist that their relatives exist in duplicate. This is a problem for monotheism because if there are two of a person, then each traces back to Adam & Eve, meaning there are two genesis events and thus two gods. I get mostly angry messages from people who don't know who I am and why I am doing what they perceive to be invading their privacy. I am a curator for this web site so can perform merges purely based on intuition, knowledge of Hebrew, and awareness of name similarity implying that two profiles are the same.

Randy Schoenberg thank you for this great idea.. When I get something postative out of here i'll let you know here but lately it's been all complaint after complaint and yes i have some but i have been for the most part holding back..
