Hello, I have a Robins in my ancestry. My great grandmothers first husband was Lewen Tugwell Robins. They married in the Mount Brydges area in Upper Canada (now Ontario). I have several documents that place them in the Lobo township, Middlesex County area in Ontario for a few years. Here are the details that I have:
Jane Anne Root married Lewen Tugwell Robins 9 Jan. 1889 in Lobo Twsp, Middlesex County Parents of Lewen Tugwell Robins listed as Tugwell and Mary Robins
Jane and Lewen had: - a son Orlando Lewen Robins 05 Oct. 1889 in Mount Brydges Upper Canada - a daughter Marcelline 14 August 1892 in Lobo Township, Upper Canada Lewen Robins was killed at his job 1 May 1892 (before his daughter was born)
Jane later remarried Nelson Vrooman (12 Oct. 1893 in Caradoc TWsp, Middlesex county) and had 5 more daughters.
Since the names Lewen and Tugwell seem to repeat themselves, I'd think there was some connection between your tree and mine. Any help in finding the parents and Siblings of Lewen Tugwell Robins would be appreciated. I'm curious about when and where they came to Canada, where they came from in England, and what happened to the rest of the family. I haven't found them on any census lists other than the years that my ggmother and Lewen were married.
My Geni tree shows the following similar names:
