About the Hamilton surname

origin

Scottish and northern Irish: habitational name from what is now a deserted village in the parish of Barkby, Leicestershire. This is named from Old English hamel ‘crooked’ + dun ‘hill’. Hamilton near Glasgow was founded by the Hamiltons and named after them. In Ireland, this name may have replaced Hamill in a few cases. It has also been used as the equivalent of the Irish (Cork) name Ó hUrmholtaigh.

Balázs Déri :

The once village of Hamil-Ton might have been founded and named by the people of
a Hamil-Kar ,king of Phoinicians,as Kar the languages of the Middle-East meant the same
as Town in English .
There were several persons of this name, obviously related in some way to each other .

Hamilkars ( Han-Mil-Kar ) might have headed members of Milkayak tribe of the Holy Land
of America ,as they may partly be descended from one of hte sons of Ar-Ra'aya-Ban-Na ,
generic ancestor of Ban-Rai peoples, founder of Rai kingdom ,the firstborn of the twelve
brothers to father the twlve tribes of the Chosen People, the Native Americans ,
called Ak-Han-Aya-Ke .
He is the ancestor of the Han Chinese in particular .
So Han-Mil is a synonym of Mil-K'ayaak .

Phoinicians may basically be descended from the youngest of the twelve ,
Aba-Nawa-Ma-Wan-Na ,because Aba-Nawa was the old Aigyptian name of a Phoinix .
His firstborn son in turn was Bel-Larga ,from whom Tupí-Guarani tribes ,
including the Cinta-Larga or Large-Belt ,as well as some Dravida peoples,
whose language is quite similar to the previous ,may originate .
Dravidas had come mainly from Peru-Nadu or Nava-Alam ,that may be Peru in
the New World ,and others from neighbouring regions ,in the 7th century BC ,
when Babylónians forced them to leave the Holy Land,as it is all written .

They include Male or Malta ,as well as Tamil people ,whose name may be related
to that of Hamil-Kar ,and may be interpreted as Ta-Hanmil ,that is Of Hamil ,
in the Maltese Arab language .
So it is likely that Tamils of partly Milkayak origin after having settled in Southern India
ventured to the Mediterraneum ,occupied also hte island of Malta, named after one of
their tribes ,together with people from Libanon and Syria ,mainly of the Pelasta race,
who had once been headed by king Male ,and from then on have founded colonies in
Brittannia too, which led to the existence of Hamilton, that is the town of the Milkayak.

Huarpe peoples, including the Milkayak or Mil-Ka-Yak ,may basically be descended from
Shem-Meg-Raya-Na ,the second of the twelve sons ,called Hermés Trismegistos by
Greek Aigyptians ,the ancestor of Hermion peoples, later called German ,for some reason .
They spoke their own ones, but Levites of the tribe were of German dialects ,
as descended from Er-Ge-Mar-Ram-Ma ,grandson of Laya-Wa .
Hermés' son was She-'Ayala ,after whom Ceylon ,the home ,among others,of the Ta-Mil
and Yakka peoples, who may be descended from him and may the closest relatives of the
Mil-Ka-Yak .
Hamilkars thus might have been kings of Ceylon ,originally ,of Tamil and Yakka peoples ,
where ,by the way,Brits are also believed to have emigrated from to Britain ,at least some so.

Being kings, they were with great likelyness descended from the greatest king of the
early times ,that of Hiero-Solyma in the Holy Land, at river Solimoes ,ruling in it from
about 1116 to 1083 BC ,Ed-Daya-Wa-Da ,called Suya-Yakka Waedda by Dravidas ,
Alrik by Scandinavians and Cunedagi by Brits themselves .

There is Hamil tribe also in New Guinea ,related to Taman and to Arama .
Barkby itself might have been anmed after Barka ,so it is likely that the
Hamilkar who founded Hamilton was the one called Hamilcar Barcas .
