About the Grover surname

Surname GROVER is in India as well as some other countries too. In India original surname was not GROVER. It was Goroware. During British rule of India, lot of surnames got anglacised. Goroware got changed to GROVER. I do not know the meaning of Goroware. If someone is aware, I would like to know. In India, GROVER are Punjabis.

I am aware with two facts 1- Goroware are originally Arora, they were known as Gore Arore which makes Goroware now Grover. 2- All Grover belongs to same clan hence genealogically they don't marry within Grovers.
