About Sir John Scrymgeour of Dudhope, Kt.
'Death is listed as at Battle of Harlaw - was a Scottish clan battle fought on 24 July 1411 just north of Inverurie in Aberdeenshire An intense and close fought battle to defend Aberdeen from an attempt by the Lord of the Isles to strengthen his control of the Earldom of Ross.
Sir John Scrymgeour of Dudhope, Kt.
Sir John Scrymgeour is the son of Sir James Scrymgeour of Dudhope and Egidia Maxwell.2 He married, firstly, Marion Abernethy.1, in 1424. He married, secondly, Isabella Oliphant, in 1431, daughter of Sir William Oliphant of Aberdalgie and Marian (?).1 He died in 1465.1
(Note: The dates of marriages with Marion and Isabella is confusing and are probably wrong!)
