Mrs. Mary Eno Steffanson died last night at her home, 56 East Fifty-seventh Street, after an illness of several months. She was 71 years old. Mrs. Steffanson, daughter of the late John Chester Eno, was the wife of Hokan B. Steffanson, who was active in the wood pulp and real estate business before his retirement twenty years ago. Her father had engaged in the financing and building of Canadian railroads. A devotee of music, Mrs. Steffanson assisted young artists in the advancement of their careers. She was a member of the Philharmonic-Symphony Society for forty years and a member of its board of governors for the 1st thirty years. She belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames and the Colony Club. Besides her husband, she leaves a sister, Mrs. William Leon Grave of Pasadena, California.
