Abraham DeHaven was listed on a document entitled "Runaway Servants, Convicts, and Apprentices, 1728-1796 for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The date of publication of this document was April 28, 1768, and it shows Abraham's "master" as John Sharer. The document reads as follows:
Abraham Dehaven, 19L, 9 days, Tuesday, 2 pounds, 5'-6-7". He was 19 years old at the time and perhaps the 2 pounds referred to a reward for his return. Another document showed that Abraham arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from Canada in 1768 and was 19 years old at the time of his arrival. It mentions a source publication with an annotation: "Date of newspaper advertisement and place of master's residence. Extracted from copies of the paper reprinted by The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, The Pennsylvania Gazette, 1728-1789."
