Her Husband's Testament Dative and Inventory
James Hamilton in Allanshaw died intestate in April 1653. His testament dative and Inventory was given up by his widow, Jonet Rae, on 17 November 1653, who was recognised as his only executor dative by the Glasgow Commissary Court. Financial provision was made for children, as was required by law, but the name or names of the beneficiaries are not recorded. James Hamilton of Allanshaw acted himself as cautioner for Jonet Rae and confirmation was granted to her on 21 November 1653.
