John was the son of Andrew Roberts and his wife Jane. He had a brother Henry, and sisters Mary and Katherine. [1]

He was under age 21 when his father died in 1682, so he was born after 1661.

The will of Andrew Roberts d. abt. 1682 in Anne Arundel, Maryland stated his wife was Jane and children were John, Henry, Mary and Katherine.
