Jacob Lanius immigrated on the Pennsylvania Merchant , Sep 11, 1731. He is listed as one of the signers of an agreement dated Mar 17, 1745 to build the first Reformed Church of York, Pennsylvania. He was licensed land f rom William Penn. 6 miles north of York. Janey Joyce notes that Juliana is not listed as a passenger on this ship, but presumably accompanied him. On Jul 25 , 1752, he and his wife were taken into membership of the First Moravian Church , York. On Apr 7, 1761 he was naturalized at a Supreme Court in Philadelphia, along with George Ilgenfritz, John Feiser, Franz Berot, and John Fischel, all a lso Moravians. He was involved in the Maryland Border War. On Aug 25, 1762, h e moved from his farm in Kreutz Creek, Hellam Twp. According to Gibson(?) page 606, re 1783 tax list, Jacob had 150 acres and 1 still, val. 556 pounds. His w ill was dated Jun 20, 1775 and probated Apr 28, 1778. York Moravian: March 1, 1778. At Noon. Died Jacob Lanius Sr., widowed, aet, 69-9-19. Buried March 2
