Jeremey Osborne, tanner, of Ashford, Kent, died testate with a will dated Sept. 3, 1620, which was proved Apr. 12, 1621.
He married his first wife Joan Wyborne at Ashford on Jan. 17, 1592/93, but the wife mentioned in his will was named Constance.
Jeremy Osborne's second wife was Constance Cotlet, married at Sellindge 29 April 1595. She was bp. Lydden 25 June 1565, dau. of Thomas and Joan (__) (Welch) Cotlet. She was still living 8 Dec. 1638, as the "land of Constance Osborne widow" was referring to as a border for another piece of property in an entry in the Ashford Court book.
Jeremy Ashford's children were born at Ashford in Kent and baptized at Sellindge in Kent.

In his will dated 3 Sep 1620 and proved 12 Apr 1621, Jeremy Osborn, of Ashford, tanner, left 20 shillings to the poor of Ashford. To his son Joseph, he left his "Turky carpett," and to his son Richard, his "silver cupp and two silver spoones with knobs." To his son,Thomas, he left "seaven silver spoons" and his "Tanning vessels, etc."And he adds, "The residue of my household stuff to be divided between my said sons, with proviso that Cunstance my wife have so much of my plate and household stuff as she shall think fit for her life. Also to my wife, all the money she had inn her keeping. The residue of my good sand chattels to my son Joseph." The executor was his son, Joseph.The overseers were John Walleis and Jeremy's uncle, Robert Hunt.Jeremy left specified lands and tenements to his wife,Constance, for life. To his son,Joseph,he bequeathed "amessuage," and "lands and tenements sometime Robert Mellows." To son, Thomas, he left "the tan house for five years, payingrent for 20 shillings a year therefore to Joseph and allowing him a convenient way to the malthouse and river." To son, Richard,heleftspecified lands in the parishes of St. Dunstans (Canterbury), Eberry, Willesborough, and Ashford "late Richard Haldens."
