The History of Parliament states that Nicholas Bacon (1510-1579) was the 2nd son of Robert Bacon of Drinkstone & Hesset by Eleanor or Isabel, daughter of John Cage of Pakenham. There is no evidence of the CAGE family at Pakenham Suffolk being a branch of the GAGE family in Northamptonshire.
