Sadly, Hilma and Victor lived such short lives in their new country; however, the family that they left has exhibited the strength and determination for which Finns are known. Both of their sons and all four of their grandsons served in the US Armed Forces. Their daughters and granddaughters have maintained strong family ties. We are blessed.
