Czar Paul Petrovich Romanov, was born in the St. Petersburg Summer Palace, a large and imposing mauve-walled edifice of 160 grand gilded rooms, built to the order of his mother, Empress Elizabeth, ten years earlier in 1744. The year following her death in 1796,the newly crowned Czar Paul, ordered the dilapidated palace to be demolished and replaced it with a new residence for himself, the imposing fortress like St. Michael's Castle, completed in 1801,and which he was only to inhabit for forty days after being murdered there in an act of regicide.
Thusly Czar Paul i died on the very same location, where he was born.
Таким образом, царь Павел I скончался на том же месте, где родился.
