Elizabeth Embree was born on January 15, 1786, probably in Kentucky, and died at Clark County, Kentucky on June 24, 1830. She married Stephen Brockman on May 31, 1803 in Clark County, Kentucky. Stephen was born January 25, 1777 in Orange County, Virginia and died on September 26, 1832 in Clark County, Virginia.

The DAR file for Elizabeth lists her place of birth as Orange County, Virginia. This is highly unlikely as her parents left Virginia in 1780 and were established in Kentucky before her birth.
