Diza Louise Bennett, age 80 of Meadow Creek, WV passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Born on December 30, 1939 at Plumley Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Norman Plumley and Stella Richmond Plumley.

Louise was a homemaker, and was a former volunteer at John C. Coonley Elementary School in Chicago, IL for many years. She had her home in Chicago for many years, until her husband's retirement in 1998. At that time, she moved to Meadow Creek, WV.

Louise was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Abraham, and enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers at her home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Bennett; a son Lundy Norman Bennett; two siblings, Carolyn and Darrell Plumley.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children: Edward Charles Bennett and wife Jackie of Florida, Roger Bennett of Meadow Creek, Jack Bryson of Chicago, Il., Robert Bennett of Meadow Creek, and Kathy Pernau and husband Robert of Meadow Creek. Siblings: Violet Bennett of Clifton Forge, VA, Junior Plumley of Kentucky, Waneda Plumley and husband Ronald of Virginia, Denzil Plumley of Richmond, VA, Lois Ellison and husband Charles of Shady Spring, and Alvin Plumley of Plumley Mountain. Six grandchildren, Allen Bennett, Ashley Pernau, Jennifer Miller, Ryan Pernau, Andrea Bennett, and Brett Bennett; seven great grandchildren, Izaiah, Asa, Jaxon, Izabella, Izaac, Ezra, and Colt. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside rites and burial will be held at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery at Abraham, WV on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 3 PM with Rev. Eddie McNeely officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, due to the COVID -19 Pandemic.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be observed as mandated by the Governor of the State of WV.
