Mrs. Cora Lee Courtney "Bobbie" Snipes, age 71, wife of Perry S. Snipes, of North Wilkesboro died Tuesday, March 26, at her home.

Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Snipes was born in Mecklenburg County, August 7, 1930, to James and Henrietta Ballard Courtney.

She was a member of North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church. Mrs.

Snipes was a nursery teacher at North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church for 26 years.

She was also a frequent visitor to the sick, homebound, and nursing care residents.

She was treasurer for the Presbyterian Women, library volunteer at CC Wright and North Wilkesboro Elementary Schools, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Snipes had worked at the Wilkes YMCA and Wilkes Community College Bookstore.
