Charles Hugo Strom Obituary:

Charles Strom, Parkerville, passed away late Monday night at the Geary Community Hospital (Junction City, KS). He was 83 years old. Born November 21, 1893 near Dwight [KS], he had lived in this area all his life. He was a farmer until becoming ill seven years ago. Strom married Pauline Mitchell on June 9, 1920 [Morris Co, KS]. He was a member of the Parkerville Baptist Church.

Strom was preceded in death by one son, Billy, in 1930. Surviving relatives include his wife of the home; two daughters: Kathryn Rogers, Junction City; and Charlene Garr, Strong City [KS]; one son, Bob Strom, Parkerville; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Five sisters and one brother survive: Lillie Worden of Wamego [KS]; Alice Ziegler and Edith Booth, Alta Vista [KS]; Gladys Strom of Council Grove [KS] and Harry Strom of Dwight [KS]. A private funeral service was held at Kendall Chapel in Council Grove and a public graveside service in the Parkerville Cemetery.
