Catherine McMahon - Humphries, Free Settler "Minorca" 1800

Catherine MOONEY was born 1772 Wicklow, Ireland to John MOONEY and Catherine BYRNES

She married Francis (aka Terence) McMAHON in 1796 in Wicklow, Ireland. They had 3 children - 2 sons and 1 daughter - who were all deceased by 1857 - Mary Elizabeth, Francis, Elizabeth

Catherine and her children arrived in Sydney Cove on "Minerva" on 11/1/1800 - accompanying her convict husband .

Francis died on the 7/9/1801.

Catherine married Patrick HUMPHRIES on 28/2/1802 and they had 6 children - 4 sons + 2 daughters. Michael, Thomas, Catherine, George, Ann, David

Catherine died 30/4/1857 at Watson's Bay.

NOTE: There was another Catherine MOONEY (aka Elizabeth Catherine MOONEY) who arrived on "Mary Ann" in 1792 - she married John COLETHREAD and William WILSON)
