Little is known about Chloe Lentz. She is thought to have been born near Heidelberg in the Electoral Palatinate, and immigrated to America to follow her sweetheart, Peter Lentz, around 1753. She married Peter and raised a large family with him in various places in South Carolina and North Carolina. She probably died in Buncombe County, North Carolina during the same epidemic that took Peter. She is believed to have been buried at the Lance Family Cemetery, which was later moved into a single tomb.
