A Patriot of the American Revolution for VIRGINIA with the rank of Ensign. DAR Ancestor # A040388

Aaron Fontaine served as Capt. of the Louisa County Militia before the Revolutionary War, and during it, he was Ensign in the same Militia. On 17 Jan 1814, he purchased a large estate called "Carter's Ferry" on the Ohio River, which was later called "Fontaine Ferry".
