Blanca I de Navarra, (¿?, Castilla, 1385 - Santa María la Real de Nieva, 1441), reina de Navarra (1425 - 1441).

Hija de Carlos III el Noble y Leonor de Trastámara. Perteneciente a la Dinastía de Evreux. Heredera del trono de Navarra desde la muerte de su hermana mayor Juana (1413).

En 1402 contrajo matrimonio con Martín "el Joven", rey de Sicilia y heredero de la Corona de Aragón. Muerto éste en 1409 pasó a gobernar la isla, regresó a Navarra y contrajo matrimonio en segundas nupcias con Juan II de Aragón, hijo de Fernando de Antequera y hermano de Alfonso V "el Magnánimo", rey de Aragón.

La abulia (pérdida de iniciativa) que le caracterizaba, permitió que Navarra quedara sometida en todo a su marido y a sus intereses, perdiendo el reino territorios fronterizos como consecuencia de la intervención armada de Juan II en los asuntos de Castilla (1428-29).

De la unión con Juan II de Aragón nació Carlos, príncipe de Viana, quien -según las capitulaciones matrimoniales de 1419- debía heredar el reino de Navarra a la muerte de su madre. Pero al morir doña Blanca, su esposo usurpó el trono navarro, alegando entre otras razones el testamento en el que la reina recomendaba a Carlos que no se hiciese coronar sin consentimiento de su padre.

Carlos de Viana, declaró la guerra su padre (1451-1461): reclutó el apoyo de los montañeses de Beaumont (beamonteses) y del propio condestable castellano, Alvaro de Luna. Pero Juan II le derrotó una y otra vez, al tiempo que se casaba con la castellana Juana Enríquez (1447) que le daría un hijo, el futuro Fernando el Católico.

She was the daughter of King Charles III of Navarre and infanta Eleanor of Castile

Blanche married firstly Martin the Younger, King of Sicily and Crown Prince of Aragon. They were married by proxy on May 21, 1402 in Catania. Blanche travelled to meet her new husband and they were married in person on December 26, 1402. The bride was about eleven years old and the groom twenty-eight.

Martin had survived his previous wife and former co-ruler Mary of Sicily and their only son. He was in need of legitimate heirs. However Martin and Blanche only had one son:

They both survived their only son. Martin died on July 25, 1409 and was succeeded by his own father, Martin I of Aragon.

Blanche remained a widow for a decade. On November 6, 1419, Blance married her second husband John (Juan), duke of Peñafiel by proxy in Olite. John was the second son of Ferdinand I of Aragon and Eleanor of Alburquerque. Ferdinand had succeeded his maternal uncle Martin I in 1412.

Juan traveled to meet her. On June 10, 1420, they were married in person in Pamplona. Charles III died on September 8, 1425 and Blanche succeeded him as Queen regnant of Navarre. John became King Consort of Navarre in her right. They had four children:

^ Anthony (1931) states that she was the fourth-born daughter of King Charles III of Navarre by Queen Eleanor, and she was preceded by Juana, Maria and Margarita and the two latter died early. Anthony defines Blanca's exact birth date as 6 July 1387 by virtue of contemporary sources.
