Mary Lumbart was born at Barnstable, Massachusetts, June 17, 1686, the daughter of Benjamin Lumbart and his second wife, Sarah Walker.[1]. She died May 1, 1772 in Barnstable. [1]
She married Benjamin OKilley in Barnstable in 1709.[1] They had one child, Reuben, and after his birth, Benjamin deserted Mary and married, in 1718, Hopestill Smith. [1] Mary was not allowed a divorce, and had other children with the surname OKilley. This is specifically discussed in footnote 83 on Pgs 147-148 of Kelley's compilation.[1]
Children recorded Yarmouth, first by Benjamin, next four unknown paternity:[2]
Note: No evidence has been found to support allegation that Mary had son Benjamin, b. 08 Oct 1733, who married Susannah Davis of Harwich, as stated in Randall's O'Killia Genealogy (see Research Notes).[2]
