About Benjamin Birdsall
BENJAMIN BIRDSALL the oldest son of Nathan first appears in Oyster Bay, Feb. 20, 1684-5 with brother Steven, and buys of the Indians 100 acres of land on north side of Littleworth Path where he probably built a house and improved the land. On Feb. 8, 1688-9 his ear mark is recorded in Hempstead and he was doubtless occupying property bought by his father of Lawrence Mott in the year 1679-80 at a place called New Brittain, Birdsall's Brook and Jerusalem.
Benjamin married about 1682 Mercy, daughter of Samuel and Miriam (Hoyt) Forman, and the following children were born to them:

Benjamin Birdsall ... was born near Hempstead, Long Island..... His will bore the date 1719. He married, about 1682, Mercy Forman daughter of Samuel and Miriam (Harcourt) Forman, and granddaughter of Robert Forman who came to America from Holland and was one of the forty five patentees of Flushing, Long Island and later a magistrate of Hempstead, Long Island.

He was a son of Nathan Birdsall (1611-c.1696) and Temperance Baldwin (c.1620-?). He married Mercy Forman (1659-?) around 1683; they had 11 children: Elizabeth (b.1683); Susannah (b.1685); Samuel (b.1687); Judea (b.1689); Benjamin Jr. (b.1691); Miriam (b.1693); John (1696-1764), who married Elizabeth Langdon (1702-?); Zilpha (b.1699); Sarah (b. 1702); Zibyah (b. 1704); and Nathan (b.1705), who married Jane Langdon on April 12, 1726”
Benjamin was a polygamist - 3 wives - and absolutely no evidence for 2 of them.
The only actual information in the sources attached says Benjamin married Mercy Forman.
