Arr. 1710 as so., loaned 1712 as shoemaker to Basilius Kretzschmar (q.v.), b. 1713, resident as shoemaker in Cape Town. ~ (1) 6.8.1713 Sara Claasen Moller, d. of Johann Claus Möller of Hamburg (q.v.); (2) 15.12.1720 Hermina Herwig of Amsterdam, wid. Basilius Kretzschmar. 7 children. + 1725. (GMR 1710, 1711, 1713; CJ 1126: 104; V.C. 56; G.R. nr. 575; Test. CJ 1070: 65 (Test. O.C. 2: 131); Test. CJ 1072: 14 (Test. O.C. 3: 111); CJ 1070: 73, according to which his estate at the time of his second marriage was valued at 16,000 gilders.)
