About Anne Wyke
Anne Danvers, Born: abt 1491, Culworth, [parish], Oxfordshire, England
ALT Death date July 11 1528
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Danvers-46
Anne was born the fourth daughter of Sir John Danvers and his wife Anne Stradling. She had, before 1539, lost her first husband, Thomas Lovett, and was then married to an unknown Wykes. Macnamara speculates it likely to be the Wykes who witnesses the will.[1]
The Will of her mother, Anne Stradling makes it clear she was still alive in 1539 and married to a man by the name of Wykes. Baker, in "History of Northamptonshire", and Richardson following in "Ancestry" state that she died before her first husband. This is clearly incorrect as she was alive at the time of the Will of her mother in 1539.
(Or was this Ann Wykes Anne Wykes ?)
