Purchased the estate of Dyrham Park from Sir Walter Denys flic.kr/p/63yd8i and his son Richard in 1571.
Ann was sister & co-heiress of Robert Brayne of Bristol.
George was the son of John Wynter a wealthy Bristol merchant and shipowner and Alice daughter of William Tyrrell (of Cork Ireland , merchant) The family " said to have been notwithout "a personal and pecuniary interest" in the alleged piracies of his son and stated that he "adventured with Mr. Frauncis Drake the somme of £400 of money" for which Drake had his note of hand. The Wynter family were part of the first Slave Trade expedition in 1562. George had warehouses at Seething Lane, Barking.
