- Sir Richard Guildford (also spelt Guilford), KG (c. 1450 – 1506) was an English courtier who held important positions at the court of Henry VII, including the office of Master of the Ordnance.
- Richard Guildford, born at Cranbrook, near Rolvenden, Kent, was the son of Sir John Guildford (1430–1493), Comptroller of the Household to Edward IV, by his first wife, Alice Waller.[1] He was relied on as a councillor by Reginald Bray, .... etc.
- Guildford married firstly Anne Pympe, daughter and heiress of John Pympe of Kent,[7][8] by whom he had two sons and five daughters:
- Sir Edward Guildford; married firstly, before 1496, Eleanor West (b. 1481; sister and co-heir of Thomas West, 9th Baron De La Warr, and daughter of Thomas West, 8th Baron De La Warr)), by whom he had a son, Richard, who predeceased him, and a daughter, Jane, who married John Dudley, 1st Duke of Northumberland. - Sir Edward Guildford (alternative spelling Guilford) (c. 1474 - 1534) was an English courtier and Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and Marshal of Calais in 1519.
- Edward Guildford was born at Offington in the parish of Broadwater (now part of Worthing), the son of Sir Richard Guildford and Anne Pympe.
- Guildford married firstly, before 1496, Eleanor West, daughter of Thomas West, 8th Baron De La Warr (d. 11 October 1525), by whom he had a son, Richard, and a daughter, Jane, who married John Dudley, 1st Duke of Northumberland. - A Declaration, dated Thursday before the Nativity of our Lady, 49 Edward III., testifying that Wm de Pympe, Chivaler, has enfeoffed Thomas de Cobham, Chivaler, Reginald de Cobham, Clerk, Robert de Bourne, Clerk, William Topclyve, James de Peckham, Henry Pertrich, Parson of the Church of St. Mary in Hoo, John Godiwot and John Okebourne, with all his possessions in the Counties of Kent and Sussex, and also with the advowson of the Church of Nettlestede and the Reversion of the Manor of Poldre, near Sandwich, which Dame Medeyte de Uvedale holds for term of her life, the Indenture of feoffment to take effect only in the event of his death.
