ANNA ELS FISCHBACK (Anna Elisabeth) was born on April 15, 1685 in Trupbach, Nassau-Siegen, Germany. She was christened on Palm Sunday, 1685 at Trupbach. Her godmother was Anna, the daughter of Johannes Heimbach.

Elisabeth married Hans Jacob Richter (Rector) of Trupbach, on January 17,1711. Jacob and Elisabeth Rector immigrated to the Virginia colony in 1713 - 1714 with their son and her parents. Jacob Rector was listed as one of the heads of family of the Nassau-Siegen immigrants. He and his wife, Elisabeth were also listed as one of the twelve families who took up land at Germantown.

Elisabeth (Anna) Ficshbach was also known in deeds as Elisabeth Rector.

She became a widow w/4 children in the wilderness of Virginia 1729.

Hans and Elisabeth, her parents, brothers, and sisters came to Virginia from Siegen in 1714.

She remarried John Marr who died in 1744, he raised Jacob Rector after his dads death. Elisabeth Rector Marr married Col. John Finlayson later in life.

Anna died in 1761 in Germantown, Fauquier County, Virginia. The family started using the anglicized surname Rector instead of Richter after they moved to Germanna Va from Siegen Germany.

Hans John Jacob Rector 10/10/1674 died 1729.

He married Anna Elisabeth Fischbach born in Trupbach, Nassau Siegen Germany. Parents were Christophel Richter and Anna Catherin Becker. Was admitted to the Build of Steel Steelsmith and Toolmakers of the Freudenberg District, as a toolmaker on 6/7/1712. On 1/127/1711 he married Anna Fischbach-in 1713 Hans and Anna and their son Johannes left Tupbach for America along with other "1714" immigrants.

He eventually owned 150 acres of land in Spottsylvannia. Will book "A" pg 74 at Germantown Virginia. Town founded by Siegen immigrants about 15 miles north of original Germanna site.

Their oldest son Johannes (John) came from Germany, but the other children were born here. Hans Jacob Rector was an elder in the German Reformed church at Germantown. He died in 1729. Note: Rectortown Va also known as Maidsville Va is in Fauquier County, Virginia near Delaplane Va. See Flint Hill Farm/Chattins Run. Note: Rectortown Cemetery Rt. 713, Maidsstone Rd., Fauquier County, Rectortown Va.

The original ancestor of the Fishchbachs was a prominent iron-master, Tiel Van Fishchbach (otherwise called "von Hollenstein"), born about 1415-20 who was "Schultheiss" of Freudenberg: (ie: Chief Justice of the District Court and other official representative of the Count of Nassau-Siegen in that district.)
