Ann's mother, Rebecca Vanderpool, was the widow and second wife of Abraham Vanderpool, who lived on the South Branch of the Potomic in perhaps Shenandoah Co., VA then Augusta county. His name appears on pg. 293 of "Chalkley Abstracts", Vol. 3: 25 May 1751: Abraham Vanderpool and Rebecca to George Yoakum, Lot no. 10 held by patent of Lord Fairfax, 19 Oct 1748 on the South Fork of the Wappaconee (or) Great South Branch of the Potomac, 430 acres. Witnesses - William White, Thomas Moore.
