About Andrew de la Bere
Andrew de la Bere was the second husband of Alice de Rochford. She was previously married to Alan de Plugenet/Plonkenet with who she had a son Alan Plugenet/Plonkenet. Her son [ with Andrew De la Bere] Richard & his descendants were involved in a long and protracted series of court cases to acquire the Plugenet estates.
1220 Andrew de la Bere and Alice his wife, daughter and heir of Thomas de Rochford and Isabel, owned a share in Ozleworth, Gloucs. http://www.abear.co.uk/recsummpage.htm OZLEWORTH (GLOS.) [from Administrative History] Isabel, daughter of Roger (IV) de Berkeley (d. 1191), married first Thomas de Rochford (d. c. 1205) and secondly William Waleraund. She had Ozleworth in marriage, but Thomas de Rochford granted it to his brother Robert and in 1220 Robert did homage for half a fee there to Andrew de la Bere and Alice his wife, daughter and heir of Thomas de Rochford and Isabel.
