Andrew Baird in Hole of Thornly-Maxwell is not the same person as Andrew Baird who is the son of George Baird of Auchmeddan in Aberdeenshire, or Andrew Baird, WS who is the younger brother of George Baird of Auchmeddan.

Andrew Baird in Hole of Thornly-Maxwell made his last will and testament at his house there on 19 May 1634. He nominated his wife Margaret Cochrane, and his eldest son William Baird, to be his only executors and intromitters with his share of the goods, gear, debts and sums of money listed in the inventory given up by his wife. His First Wife's Testament Dative and Inventory
On 17 August 1630 Andrew Baird in Hole of Thornly-Maxwell gave up the testament dative and inventory of his deceased wife Jonet Stevinstoune. He did so in name and behalf of their three children, Johne, Jonet & Issobell Baird: "laufull bairnes to the defunct & exrs dative dewlie decernit to hir guids and geir be decreit of the Commisr of Glasgw". Williame Cochrane in Stanelie acted himself as cautioner for the executors and confirmation was granted to them on 23 August 1630.
