Alexander ARTHUR was born in c1762 in Ireland. (Age 66 in 1828 Census)
Alexander enlisted in the NSW Corps in 1801 and he arrived in Sydney Cove on "Atlas" on 7 July 1802
Alexander had a relationship with an unknown woman and they had the following children:
- c1803 Jane .
Alexander requested permission to marry Jane MORRIS on 5 June 1820 and they married on 26 June 1820 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.
He died on May 31, 1829 in Windsor, Hawkesbury City Council, NSW, Australia.
In 1838 his daughter Jane LAKE nee ARTHUR filed a court case claiming as the only daughter of Alexander ARTHUR she was the heiress of his land.
There is some conjecture that Jane MORRIS is the mother of Jane ARTHUR however the dates do not make sense for this to be correct

One rood in the County of Cumberland, parish of Saint Matthew, town of Windsor, allotment No. 60 ; bounded on the south-east by a line dividing it from Macquarie-street, and bearing north 34 degrees east 1 chain ; on the north-east by a line dividing it from allotment No. 58, and bearing north 56 degrees west 2 chains and 50 links ; on the north-west by a line dividing it from allotment No. 61, and bearing south 34 degrees west 1 chain ; and on the south-west by a line dividing it from Forbes-street, and bearing south 56 degrees east 2 chains and 50 links to Mac- quarie-street. This allotment according to the original map was located to Alexander Arthur, deceased, claimant alleges, that she is his only child and heiress at law.
