Albert Hanau opened a butcher's shop in Laufersweiler on December 20, 1928, which from July 1, 1934 was under the name of his wife Hilde geb. Löser and continued to operate. This registered the business on July 1, 1938.

On May 7, 1931 Albert received a travel trade license for trading haberdashery on behalf of his mother-in-law Magdalena Löser, née. Levy.
