About Annie Balch
Annis migrated to New England during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640). (See Great Migration Begins, by R. C. Anderson, Vol. 1, p. 84)
Annis (unknown) was probably born in England, and died before 24 Nov 1657 in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts.
She married before 1648 in Salem, Massachusetts to John Balch (b. abt 1600-d before 28 Jun 1648) as his second wife. He was Margery's widower; they had had three children.

- Evidence in the IGI shows that Agnes Patch may have been a widow md to William Patch in Somerset, England 2 3
- No children came of the marriage to John Balch 2
- Annis, named in John Balch's will of 15 May 1648; she d bef 24 Nov 1657, when her illegal will was presented at court. (On 29 June 1680 Benjamin Balch describes Annis Balch, dec as his mother-in-law, & calls himself her legal heir [EQC7:388].)[1]
