[Lieutenant-Colonel George Hamilton, The House of Hamilton (Edinburgh, 1933), see pages 850-58 for an account of the Hamiltons of Torrance] She was certainly dead before 12 December 1532, the date upon which her son James sold half the lands of Malcolmstoun to Alexander Hepburn of Quhitsum and his wife Elene Sinclair. The charter was issued at Edinburgh on 11 December 1532 and confirmed under the Great Seal of Scotland on 12 December 1532.
