NOTE: Abigail's sister, Mary Phelps (Seymour), was the wife of Judge & US Representative Oliver Phelps of the Phelps and Gorham Purchase. Her son, Oliver Leicester Phelps (Yale 1784), married Elizabeth Law Phelps (Sherman), the granddaughter of American founding father Roger Sherman of Connecticut

Abigail was the daughter of Zachariah II and Sarah (Steele) Seymour

She married Peter Buell, son of Deacon Peter and Avis (Collins) Buell, on 25 Dec 1766 at Litchfield, Litchfield, CT - their seven children included:

2. Abigail,
3. Rachal,
4. Jonathan,
5. Charles,
6. Mary Seymour and
7. Dr. Samuel Buell

Her second husband was Timothy Skinner, married at Litchfield in 17 May 1801. No issue of this marriage.
