In 1694 he made provisions for his advancing age and death: "I Richard Nason of Kittery… with the consent of Abigail my wife For and in Consideration of that Naturall love and affection that wee beare unto our two sones Benjamin Nasaon and Baker Nason and Especially for and in Consideration of their helpe to us in our old age by paying rent and other helps for our comfortable Maintainance Dureing our natural lives…

  • -- 3ly: All my other Estate whether in moveables… I will that it Shall be Equaly divided between my own Children and Children in Law vizt: John nason, Joseph nason, Benjamen nason baker nason Sarah Child, Mary Witham, Nicholas Follet and Sarah Meader.
  • --And I doe herein nominate… my son Benjamin nason and Nicholas Follet to be my Executors both, or Either of them in Case of Mortallity or absence att sea… this fourteenth day of July one thousand Six hundred ninety and four…
