Abigail Smith, Daughter of Peter Smith of Westmoreland County, Virginia

Daughter Abigail became the wife of William Fleming.

Their children were John and William; Elizabeth, who married Thaddeus Jackson; Margaret (Peggy), who married Rodham Pritchett; and Mary Fleming.

William Fleming's will was dated 7 January 1767 and was probated 28 April 1767.[1] He left his estate to his "wife Abigail" and to each of his children, "one negro."

William Fleming was born December 2, 1706 in Richmond County, Virginia. He was the son of ALEXANDER FLEMING and SARAH KENNEDY. The children of Abigail and William Fleming were:

1. JOHN FLEMING, born ca. 1740 in Westmoreland County, died October 12, 1794 in Surry County, North Carolina; married MARY BETSEY FORD; married 2nd, December 25, 1776 in Henry County, Virginia, JANE HORD, born ca. 1757/8 in Louisa County, Virginia; died in Overton County, Tennessee; daughter of MORDECAI MILLER HORD and SARAH CARR.
2. WILLIAM FLEMING, JR.
3. ELIZABETH FLEMING, married THADDEUS JACKSON, died 1802 in Westmoreland County. Thaddeus was the son of CHRISTOPHER D. JACKSON and MAGDALENE DAMOURVEL.
4. MARGARET (PEGGY) FLEMING, married RODHAM PRITCHETT.
