About Abial Leavitt

Notes

Abial Marston was the daughter of Thomas Marston, and his wife, Deborah, per the New Hampshire Births and Christening Index, born in Hampton, 23 Mar 1717, even though this transcript of the headstone says 1718. This transcript also indicated that the date of death was Jan 1782, but it appears the date of death was in 1781.

The NH index also shows that Thomas Marston and his wife, Deborah, had a daughter named Abigail, born in Hampton, 9 May 1722.

Since the Lane Memorial Library transcription indicated the headstone said Abigail, additional research was needed to establish that this headstone was for Abial, born in 1717 (age 64 in Jan 1782). The younger Abigail would have been age 59 in Jan 1782.
