Does anyone want to help with tracking the genealogy of the SA statesman Jan Smuts? The ancestors are mostly Dutch/ French, as far as I can see (And his great grandfather was a VOC employee who I've added as one of the original progenitors arriving at the Cape.)
This is the profile I've created (and I've appended in About Me the stuff I can find on the net, with sites) - but it is infernally difficult to track his 6 children and then grandchildren - apparantly because the name died out on the paternal side. I don't think so - but even if it did - his genes didn't!
It seems to me to be a profile that Geni trackers should have accurately documented.
I could do with some help, though. Anyone game?
